A Commission by The Cultural Spring, Sunderland, to make 15 model ships as part of the Tall Ships Sunderland 2018. I worked with around 25 participants from Hopewood Park, a purpose built mental health facility with an extensive rehabilitation programme, over a six month period. The ships feature images from Sunderlands ship building heritage, and are named after hospital wards or seen as symbols of hope and recovery.
